The CERN EP/DT Departmental Silicon Facility (DSF)

The EP-DT Dept Silicon Facility (DSF) is a shared work area consisting of a cleanroom ISO 7 for experiments and projects working on silicon detector development.

The DSF makes available to CERN users areas equipped with basic infrastructures as N2 and compressed air. The DSF makes also available to the users two mixing glue unitis that provide repeatable and reliable mixing as well as degassing of glue compounds, useful for wire-bond encapsulation or for glue preparation for assembly processes.

The DSF has a direct access to the QART visual inspection lab equipped with powerful stereo and 3D digital microscopes.
