This B-field mapping and magnet support service is open to CERN users. It provides precise magnetic field measurements using custom-made mechanical setups for precise B-field measurements of large magnets in the experiments. The team develops high precision 3D magnetic sensors and related DAQ systems. Magnetic field calculations are also supported.
The service maintains a considerable magnet park for precise calibrations and measurements in magnetic fields, and specialized equipment that is available for loan.
